High Plains Alpacas ranch is situated amongst the rolling River hills, 15 minutes from Saskatoon, home to Saskatchewan's first and largest alpaca ranch! At High Plains we're dedicated to Alpacas; we're proud to be Saskatchewan's first Alpaca Breeders (since 1991), over 100 alpacas run the hills of High Plains!
Our Motto is "What you Breed Today is the Quality of Tomorrow", therefore, our breeding program is very selective and our Herdsires must meet our stringent guidelines in order to be involved in the breeding program.  The promotion and education of Alpacas is another priority on our ranch, Our annual spring ALPACA ROUND-UP is always popular for new and experienced breeders.  We breed for Top Quality Alpacas with sound conformation and disposition, dense fleeces with fine micron counts, full fibre coverage from topknot to toes.  Our Alpacas are microchipped, blood-typed, double registered; (ARI & CLRC) with known histories of bloodlines, and medical records.

Our Alpacas offer a wide range of color (from pure white to true black), ages, from cria to adult ,from diverse to legendary double registered*bloodlines.Our Herdsires and their progeny are Show Winners; receiving Grand champion status & numerous first placings attending some of Canada's largest of shows in the circuit; Limited outside breedings are available to "Saskatchewan's Herdsire Selection" at it's best sales of raw, spun, or completed 100% Alpaca garments are also available for sale.
We offer on going support involving all aspects of the raising of Alpacas, and freely share our experience with our fellow alpaca enthusiasts.  With our continued involvement with Alpaca events / seminars / workshops, etc., we can provide up to date info regarding the Alpaca Industry.

We are members of the C.A.B.A. (Canadian Alpaca Breeders Assoc.) ; members of the A.O.B.A. (U.S.), CLAA and ARI (Alpaca Registry Inc.) members.  We work co-operatively with the Alpaca communities in Canada and the U.S.

High Plains Alpacas ranch is referred as "Saskatchewan's breeding centre", with professional on ranch ultrasound by Dr. Gregg Adams (reproductive expert - U.of S. of Saskatchewan) every breeding is under a calm controlled supervision, exceptional care of Dam and her cria (including weighing, body scoring, vaccinations, all in a well kept clean stress-free environment).  We continually offer a wide selection of Alpacas (including Peruvian, Chilean, and Bolivian) in all the color variations at competitive prices!
